Paule Bertholet grew up in Saskatchewan and started her medical journey with an undergraduate medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan. She moved to Kingston in 2017 to complete family medicine residency at Queen’s University, then subsequently moved back out west to Edmonton area to serve with the Canadian Armed Forces at the Edmonton Garrison. She also does rural general practice locums in Alberta.
Paule joined the military in 2014 while in medical school. She had dreamed of joining the military since her teenage years and found a training program to reconcile that wish with a medical career.
She brings with her previous board and committee experience, including serving on the Board of Saskdocs as a medical student representative, the Ontario College of Family Physicians Residents Committee as member and subsequent Chair, and the Ontario Medical Association as a member of the Member Services Committee.
