Dr. Shelley Ross is a long time member of the Federation. As well as having been President of the FMWC, she has been President and Secretary General of the Medical Women's International Association and President of the Doctors of BC. She served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Medical Association for six years, during which time she was Chair of the CMA Governance Committee. Dr. Ross is a full service family physician with a special interest in obstetrics and women's health. Although she graduated from the University of Alberta, she did her Family Medicine residency in BC and has spent her entire career in Burnaby, BC.
