Céline Sayed is currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Ottawa. She has been heavily involved in leadership roles at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, including 2019-2020 president of the medical student council and student representative for the Student Affairs Office which focuses primarily on wellness of medical students. Having gone through the majority of her undergraduate medical education, Céline has realized that not only is she passionate about medical education and student politics, but also women’s role in medicine, particularly pay inequities within medical practice and the unique challenge that female patients face within the medical system. She is excited to start this new leadership role with the FMWC and collaborate with her colleagues in order to pursue her passion for women’s health and for the advocacy of women in medicine.
