Lauren Kan is a fourth year medical student at the University of British Columbia. She has been an active member of the UBC Branch of FMWC throughout medical school, including serving as Co-President in 2017-2018. This year, she is very excited to become more involved with the national organization by serving as one of the National Student Representatives. Lauren is dedicated to bringing awareness to important women’s health issues by participating in the Prevention & Awareness Program (PAP) and the Women’s Cardiac and Cerebrovascular Health (WCCH) Committee. She also has a particular interest in promoting mentorship between female medical students and physicians and has helped spearhead a UBC FMWC Mentorship Program. She is very excited for the opportunity to bring more of a voice to the west coast branches of the FMWC!
