Lily is a third-year medical student at the University of Ottawa. As a previous uOttawa branch co-representative, she has led various local FMWC initiatives including the annual “How’s it going, Dr. Mom?” panel talk as well as the HPV and pap smear campaigns. As the founder of Doctors of Ottawa, a student wellness initiative that provides an online platform for practising physicians to share their stories, she has also led a collaborative effort with FMWC to highlight medical women in Ottawa. Lily looks forward to working alongside inspiring medical women as a national student representative and Pap committee member. Her involvement with FMWC has inspired her to initiate a uOttawa Branch for the Association of Women Surgeons, which she hopes will provide additional mentoring and advocacy opportunities for her fellow peers. Besides her involvement with the FMWC, Lily enjoys hiking, travelling, calligraphy and musical theatre. She has been a main cast member of her undergraduate musical theatre performances and has also directed her medical school musical.
