The Confidential Interview Task Force is aimed at promoting the need for a confidential interview to help “Catch the Bad Guys.” Many patients are not interviewed privately and this delays the recognition of potential cases of intimate partner violence, human trafficking, depression, or other types of abuse.
This task force will work to promote confidential patient interviewing during medical encounters with physicians for all patients over the age of 12.
In the works are two articles and a call to action for medical school curricula to encourage the training of medical students in confidential interviewing.
Please contact Robin Kaloty, FMWC National Resident Representative at [email protected], if you wish to be kept informed of this initiative.
