Cancelled – MWIA North American Regional Meeting – 2020 Mediterranean Cruise
Aug 17, 2020 - Aug 28, 2020
Dear Federation of Medical Women of Canada CME AWAY Participant,
It saddens us to have to write this message. This is an incredibly strange time for all of us and we know that healthcare professionals are even busier than we are and doing critical work during this crisis. While what we do is nowhere near as vital, we have had our hands full dealing with all the fallout. Thank you for what you do and thanks for your patience as we get through this.
Unfortunately I bring you the news that we will have to postpone the New Horizon in Women’s Health CME conference & cruise, as the Faculty have advised they are unable to proceed with the trip at this time.
If we process your cruise cancellation by May 12th you will be eligible to receive back your deposit from Celebrity. We have been very fortunate with their evolving policies being quite forgiving in most cases. In addition to the refund from Celebrity for the cruise deposit, we will lift our non-refundable tuition deposit policy, and refund or provide a credit for the $150 tuition deposit as well. We currently have the 2nd CME being offered on this sailing. Palliative Care for Generalist & Cardiology. You are able to move your tuition over to this CME and continue with the cruise.
We do need to point out the following. As of right now, Celebrity is still planning to operate this sailing. But based on how the situation continues to evolve, this could change at any time. Right now and until things change, Celebrity’s terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds still apply. However, if anyone chooses to maintain their booking, Celebrity’s Cancel with Confidence Policy would apply for this cruise. This means that anyone can cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) good on any sailing prior to December 31, 2021.
Celebrity Cruises and the other cruise partners we use, are at the forefront of an incredibly difficult and unprecedented situation. We believe they are acting very responsibly in trying to encourage calmness and protecting client funds, while at the same time making sure they are ready to go back into full operation when this crisis is behind us.
We are all adapting and getting through everything and know that you and your colleagues will need more than ever, to get away for some relaxation and recovery once this crisis is behind us. Together, the FMWC and Sea Courses are working with FMWC on a potential future 5 night land CME in 2021 and will have details in the coming months to send out.
