The National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week, also known as the PAP (Prevention & Awareness Program), is a Federation of Medical Women of Canada (FMWC) initiative. We're on our eleventh year, and going strong.
Each year, we work in partnership with the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada, Society of Canadian Colposcapists, as well as several other medical associations and provincial partners to strengthen our campaign and to increase awareness and access to cervical cancer screening. Our ultimate goal remains the same: to reach out to women across Canada, increasing awareness, encouraging women to have Pap tests and/or HPV vaccination done, and providing access to health care services.
The FMWC Pap Campaign Committee is chaired by Dr. Susan McFaul. To get involved in this committee, please contact the National Office at [email protected].
