NATIONAL CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS WEEK  PARTICIPANT E-KIT

Thank you very much for your commitment to host a Pap test clinic during this year’s National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week taking place October 21-25, 2019.   This year's theme is reaching under-screened and never-screened women, and we encourage you to ask women who are accompanying children and elders if they've been screened, check their charts, and make an appointment.

Here are a few items to help you prepare for and promote the Pap test clinic(s) to be offered in your community:

KEY MESSAGES

  • A Pap test is a screening test to prevent cervical cancer.
  • Pap tests should be done every 3 years or as recommended by provincial or territorial guidelines.
  • Cervical cancer is caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV).
  • We can vaccinate against HPV.
  • Discuss vaccination with your physician or nurse practitioner.
  • Take advantage of school-based immunization programs for tweens and teens.

PRINTABLE POSTER

A promotional tool to be posted in your clinic/office and in high traffic public areas throughout your community to invite people to your Pap test clinic(s). We recommend printing in color.

ENGLISH version.  FRENCH version.

Please advise us HERE if we can be of further assistance to you.

WE WISH YOU GREAT SUCCESS WITH YOUR PAP CLINIC(S)!
