WPS Committee: TIME SENSITIVE SURVEY! Action required for Canadian Climate policy

Environment Minister, Stephen Guibeault’s public consultations about the plan to achieve the 2030 target began on December 14^th and will end on JANUARY 14^th, 2022. It takes the form of a survey - Engagement on Canada’s 2030 Emission Reduction – Public Submission Portal  https://eccc.sondage-survey.ca/f/s.aspx?s=4132165a-69ff-455b-9208-24be193aa656&lang=EN

This is a follow-up to all our efforts on Bill C-12 and will impact the next 10 years of climate policy in Canada!

I have linked my responses and a copy of the Targets report for your review.

Please make the responses “your own” -  do the survey by January 14^th. Numbers count!

This consultation could be a turning point where Canada finally takes truly meaningful action to tackle the climate emergency. We must ensure our voices are heard, and not just those of the fossil fuel lobby, which has been mobilizing to stack the results in their favour.

Please also distribute as widely as you can.
