The United Nations Department of Global Communications is a department of the Secretariat of the United Nations. It is tasked with raising public awareness and support of the work of the United Nations.

FMWC is a member of the NGO section of the Department of Global Communication. This allows FMWC to provide entry to the UN for up to six persons to attend UN events, such as the Commission on the Status of Women or the UN General Assembly.

UN-NGLS, which stands for United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service, advises civil society organizations on opportunities to engage with the UN and facilitates their participation in various UN processes and events (conferences, hearings, workshops, etc.). UN-NGLS has offices at UN headquarters in New York and is part of the United Nations Department of Global Communications.
