FMWC Vancouver Branch is pleased to announce that our former book club is re-launching online and welcoming all FMWC friends and colleagues nationally.

Some of us may be bibliophiles but many of us have busy careers and have not had the time to read a book, much less join a book club. A book club offers us a place to connect, share collegiality and deepen our perspectives through discussion of the selected book. We welcome one and all even if you have not read the selected book but would like to hear about it. Our book club will discuss books recommended by book club members covering a broad range of literary tastes and genres.

Our second meeting is via Zoom on Monday, November 16, 2026 at 6 pm Pacific Time.

The second selection, recommended by Dr. Teresa Clarke is: All in Her Hands by Aubrey Blake. This historical fiction novel offers an immersion into the world of medicine in 1800’s London with a protagonist (a composite of the first few licensed women physicians in England) struggling to establish an obstetrics practice against the back drop of medical and societal prejudices and a cholera epidemic.

If you are interested in participating please email [email protected] and we will add you to our distribution list. This book may be available at your community library.

We look forward to learning, connecting and sharing with you at FMWC book club.
