FMWC Vancouver Branch is pleased to announce that our former book club is re-launching online and welcoming all FMWC friends and colleagues nationally.
Some of us may be bibliophiles but many of us have busy careers and have not had the time to read a book, much less join a book club. A book club offers us a place to connect, share collegiality and deepen our perspectives through discussion of the selected book. We welcome one and all even if you have not read the selected book but would like to hear about it. Our book club will discuss books recommended by book club members covering a broad range of literary tastes and genres.
Our first meeting is via Zoom on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 6 pm Pacific Time.
Our first selection, recommended by Dr. Kathleen Ross, is a non-fiction book that would benefit many of us encountering challenging workplace circumstances in our careers. The title summarizes it well: Collaborating with the Enemy: How to Work with People You Don’t Agree With, Like, or Trust by Adam Kahane.
The discussion will be led by Dr. Ross, former president of the Doctors of BC and the CMA.
If you are interested in participating please email [email protected] and we will add you to our distribution list. This book may be available at your community library.
We look forward to learning, connecting and sharing with you at FMWC book club.
