The FMWC believes that all women have a right to essential evidence-based medical care. This is especially true in times of medical emergency. We believe that care should never be withheld because of political beliefs or system biases. Emergency care related to pregnancy loss should not be confused with a request for pregnancy termination. To deny care to a woman with bleeding, ectopic pregnancy or other medical emergency related to pregnancy loss is an abrogation of the responsibility of the medical system.
